| Yeah, but the keyword is "competent" isn't it? These days it is getting increasingly difficult to find body shops that will do anything outside of insurance claim work or other cookie cutter type jobs. The ones that will take on such jobs too often are desperate for work and that desperation too often stems from inexperience and lack of establishment which go hand-in-hand with incompetency. When I looked around to get my rockguard shaved, I gave up after the 12th shop or so who wouldnt do it. It took me several calls just to get a shop to paint my rear bumper cover, Jspec fascia, along with timing belt covers and repaint my nose panel. Seems like fewer and fewer people these days do anything "outside the box". The shipping for most folks to get a hood to and from the Bay area (which may be a moot point, didn't someone post that shop doesn't do these hoods anymore or is closed?) is cost prohibitive, and then there is the risk of your hood arriving like woody's did. IMHO for these reasons the opportunity exists for the TwinZ to offer such a hood in batches, through a distributor, rather than folks relying on a bodyshop to produce them onesy-twosies when the shop has time.
